Examines the development of communication forms, tools, and institutions with a focus on emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI) and virtual reality (VR); their influence on culture (forms of expression and social relationships); and their impact on social and individual experience. Applies knowledge of communication history to contemporary social issues and problems in media and society, both domestically and internationally.

This course introduces effective speech communication with a focus on informative and persuasive public speaking and presentation skills. Students will explore the role of oral communication across cultures, apply rhetorical theory, and adapt to audiences using ethical and logical supporting materials. They will learn to develop, organize, and deliver original speeches with effective verbal and nonverbal techniques, while also practicing active listening and constructive evaluation. The course emphasizes reducing communication apprehension and building confidence as ethical, effective public speakers.
This section highlights my peer-reviewed scholarly articles, many of which are works in progress. Several have been submitted and are currently under review, while others are in their final stages of preparation for submission. All of these articles have been presented at academic conferences, where I received valuable feedback that continues to shape and refine the work.
